Come and explore!
Dog friendly, historic holiday cottage by the riverside,
close to great shops
and cafesĀ

Situated in the lower Yorkshire Dales, Nidderdale is often described as the "forgotten Dale." This hidden gem is easy to reach and explore, whether on foot or by car.
As part of the Nidderdale National Landscape (formerly known as AONB) and the International Dark Sky Reserve, the region offers a wealth of experiences for nature lovers, walkers, dog owners, history enthusiasts, and anyone looking for a tranquil retreat in breathtaking surroundings. Rain or shine, there’s always something to discover and enjoy!

Flax Mill Cotttage lies within the historic Glasshouses Mill, a former flax and rope mill, built in the 1800s, with rich ties to the local community.
Built on the banks of the river Nidd, with the beautiful Glasshouses dam alongside, it
provides an idyllic holiday location for up to four people and two dogs.

Glasshouses Dam

A few steps from the cottage leads to the water's edge of the River Nidd and Glasshouses Dam, which once fed the mill. Now a haven for wildlife, this tranquil stretch of water is a pleasure to walk alongside, or simply sit and admire.
You'll find a small bag of duck food in the cottage, if you wish to feed the ducks!
