close to great shops
and cafes
Situated in the lower Yorkshire Dales, Nidderdale is often called the "forgotten Dale"—a hidden gem waiting to be explored by foot or car.
As part of the Nidderdale National Landscape (formerly the AONB) and the International Dark Sky Reserve, the region offers almost every activity from abseiling to llama trekking and everything in between! Surrounded by nature and fantastic countryside, you can burn off some calories, or simply relax and unwind. And when you are hungry, we have wonderful pubs and cafes nearby, serving home made food with smiles!
NEW for this year....
My self-guided, local tour information leaflets will enable you to explore and enjoy the area at your own pace. Over 20 walks and six fascinating attractions nearby. Perfect for all ages - whether two feet or four!
Fantastic opportunities as my guest, for bird watching walks, talks and reserve visits with the local experts! Come and enjoy something a bit different in Nidderdale – you might discover a new hobby.

Flax Mill Cottage is set within the historic Glasshouses Mill, a former flax and rope mill dating back to the 1800s, with ties to the local community.
Perched on the banks of the River Nidd, next to the beautiful Glasshouses Dam, this charming holiday cottage in the Yorkshire Dales offers a tranquil getaway for up to four guests and two dogs.
Picture yourself here—soaking in the peaceful surroundings, a warm cuppa in hand, watching the birds in flight around the mill.
