You are dog friendly  - so how many dogs can we bring?

I am very happy for owners to bring up to two small/medium sized dogs (up to Labrador size). If you wish to bring more than this, please contact me in the first instance, as space within the cottage can be a bit limited with larger dogs.

Can we check in early or check out late?

Check in times are 4pm, but if the cottage is ready, I am happy to allow earlier access. Please just ask.
Check out time is 10am prompt please, in order that I can clean and prepare the cottage for the next guests arriving.

How far away are the shops?

Pateley Bridge is 1.5miles away and has an award winning High Street with lovely, small, independent shops and eateries. Additionally, there are two small supermarkets - Spar at the foot of the High Street on the right hand side and Co-op/Nisa store within the petrol station across the bridge. 

The villages of Summerbridge and Dacre, also have very good, well stocked village stores on the main roads, in the heart of each village. They both stay open til late and are open on Sundays.

Is there a pub in Glasshouses?

There are no pubs in the village. The nearest pubs are in Pateley Bridge.

The Crown pub is at the foot of the High Street, Pateley Bridge

The Royal Oak is across the river, on the hill at Bridgehousegate.

Where is the nearest EV charging station?

Southlands Car Park, Pateley Bridge, is due to be operational very soon and may be in use by the time of your stay.

There are others in Ripon, Killinghall (behind Tesco) and Harrogate, approx a 20 minute drive away.

Is there a washing machine and iron in the cottage?

There is a washing machine, but no dryer. A retractable washing line is in place outside and pegs are provided. Clothes may be aired on the heated towel rail in the main bathroom if required.

An iron and small ironing board are stored near to the washing machine in the utility cupboard.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellation fees are as follows:
More than 6 weeks before arrival: Your deposit and any balance already paid is refundable, minus £100 admin fee.
4-6 weeks before arrival: 50% of the full amount is refundable.
Less than 4 weeks: I am unable to provide a refund unless the property is re-let.
I strongly advise obtaining your own holiday let insurance to cover the above eventuality. It is usually very reasonable.
